Formally known as The Topless Baker, 28 year old Matt Adlard is a British celebrity baker. He has a total of one million plus followers on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Despite no culinary training, Matt has mastered the art of baking. His gorgeous cakes, pastries and breads are showstoppers! On Instagram alone, his how-to videos get millions of views. For instance, Whole Wheat Honey Oat Loaf (9 million views), Chocolate Coconut Sphere (3.7 million views) and Summer Fruits Frangipane Tart (2.3 million views).
CELEBRITY BAKER, FOOD NETWORK JUDGE
Going topless proved to be a branding success for Matt at the start of his career. His YouTube baking tutorials shot in his kitchen in England have made him a social media star. With 300K plus subscribers to his Topless Baker channel and over one hundred how-to baking videos, Matt has proven to be a talented baker as well as a top-tier on-camera personality. Matt boasts a highly engaged audience of 18-34 year olds with a strong following in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia.
Discovered by Food Network, Matt hosted Food Network’s online American digital series Made for Two with The Topless Baker. On the program Matt demonstrated how to make romantic desserts for date night, like Chocolate Ganache Tarts with Meringue Kisses, Lollipop Love Hand Pie Bouquets and Strawberry and Cream Eclairs. Matt also appeared as a celeb judge on Food Network’s Christmas Cookie Challenge and Food Network Challenge.
We saw a different side to Matt when he appeared on MTV’s digital series Cooking in the Crib with Snooki and Joey. The program was hosted by Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, star of Jersey Shore Family Vacation and her best friend Joey Camasta.

So how did Matt’s baking career begin? You could say it’s in his blood. His Dad was a Michelin star chef. But Matt didn’t take the family culinary career path. He went into advertising instead. Tired of the long hours and looking for a fun hobby, he found his calling in baking. Matt is one hundred percent self-taught and learned how to bake and cook through trial and error by watching YouTube cooking videos. Teaching, inspiring and making funny mistakes along the way is the theme of his infamous viral videos.
Matt Adlard lives in England with his wife Sacha and their adorable Cocker Spaniel Cookie. His newest business venture is his online baking school called Bake It Better with Matt Adlard. He also hosts baking classes in Italy, Singapore, Mexico and the United States.
