MEET MIRI NADLER
Miri Nadler is a self-taught cake artist from North Carolina. Her flowered masterpieces are hand painted with a palette knife and her choice of icing is creamy buttercream instead of the usual hard sugar fondant impossible to eat. Inspired by the Art Décor era and mid-century design, her magnificent next level cakes are in the theme of beautiful flowers and are inspired by a bride’s floral bouquet. Some of her favorite blooms are peonies, dahlias, proteas, tulips, hydrangeas, orchids and magnolias.
SELF-TAUGHT BAKER, BUTTERCREAM ARTIST & OWNER OF 10 BLOOM CAKES
Originally from Los Angeles, Miri is a former flight attendant, food blogger, social media marketer and stay-at-home mom. She also worked on the administration side of a luxury bakery where she got a front row education on how to run a kitchen. But what changed her next career move was when she discovered the Instagram account of a cake artist and buttercream baker named Kwun from Bangkok, Thailand. @butterblossoms.
Learning from Kwun’s gorgeous IG posts, Miri documented her own palette knife cake decorating journey on Instagram. She even received requests for cake orders from her loyal followers and soon after her new businessTen Bloom Cakes was launched. Her customers not only fell in love visually with her dramatic looking cakes, but also how delicious they tasted. In addition to her signature buttercream icing recipe, Miri is also famous for her sponge cake fillings with flavors like lavender, chamomile, pink champagne, tea infused cream cheese and some all-time favorites like peanut butter and red velvet.
