MEET CHEFS JEANNIE & MARCEL COCIT
Los Angeles based husband and wife culinary duo Jeannie and Marcel Cocit are the hosts of the YouTube cooking show Love At First Bite and owners of Chef Marcel Catering. He’s the professional chef. She’s his sous-chef and mixologist. Needless to say, their lives are often filled with intense pressure and drama.
CULINARY DUO & YOUTUBE COOKING SHOW HOSTS
The Cocit’s channel was titled after the couple’s first encounter at a friend’s restaurant while Marcel was celebrating his birthday. The two locked eyes, but instead of sending over the standard “hello” drink, Marcel had a tray of chocolate oatmeal coconut cookies sent to her table. It was “Love at First Bite” for the two. Five and a half years later they were married and their YouTube series was born.

Chef Marcel was born in Brazil, raised in Queens, New York and is a graduate of the New York Restaurant School with a Certificate in Culinary Arts. Following school, Marcel worked as a private chef for some of Manhattan’s most prominent families. Today, he’s one of the hottest private chef’s in Hollywood and has cooked for big name celebrities like, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Sharon Stone, George Clooney, Larry and Shawn King, Brooke Burke and David Charvet, Nicolas Cage, Lisa Marie Presley, Toby Maguire, Ryan Seacrest, Benjamin Bratt, Suzanne Somers, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello.
Marcel and Jeannie are also in demand as a caterer for films, TV shows, corporate events and weddings. A chef for over twenty-five years, Marcel has appeared on Food Network’s Guys Grocery Games, The Chew, Home and Family, E! Entertainment Network and FYI Network. Marcel also does regular cooking segments on KCAL9 news in Los Angeles. He and Jeannie have also hosted Pillsbury sponsored cooking segments during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Special on CBS over the years
