Alexis Adjei adds an exciting international touch to Swoon Talent’s ethnically diverse lifestyle clientele. Alexis is a self-taught professional home cook living in Kent, England. At thirty, she’s that “hidden gem” which makes her an extremely attractive talent to television development executives and casting producers.


Alexis’ Nigerian decent is evident in her style of cooking with fresh ingredients and spices incorporated in her beautifully plated and delicious home cooked meals, as well as flavors inspired by her travels around the world. Some of Lexie’s recipes are: from Turkey – Hummus with Black Olive Tapenade Capers, from Nigeria – Bulgar Wheat Jollof, from Italy – Creamy Mushroom King Prawn Gnocchi, from Thailand – Thai Black Pepper Crab Tempura, from Morocco – Dukka Spiced Lamb Cutlets and from Spain –  sizzling shrimp with garlic, lemon & herbs called Gambas al Pil Pil.

Cooking proved to be emotionally and physically healing for Alexis after a bad romantic breakup. It was endless quiet and creative hours spent in her kitchen teaching herself how to cook which turned out to be very therapeutic. Alexis had found her calling, and this former office cleaner made a dramatic career change and created Not only did Alexis find a new career in the culinary industry, she also fell in love again with an architect named David.  The two recently married.

Alexis soon after added food entrepreneur to her title. With the assistance of The Prince’s Trust, a charity that helps young people in the United Kingdom start businesses, she created a food product line called Gym Bites. The healthy grab-n-go salads in a jar won the UK Enterprise Award for Best Health Food Supplier 2017 in South England and earned Alexis a nomination for Female Entrepreneur of the Year Awards-UK 2018.

Alexis Adjei has been featured in popular online publications such as Daily Mail and BuzzFeedBlogospehereMagazine presented her with the “Influencer of the Year Award 2018″. She was also in Powerlist Magazine’s 2018 “Ones to Watch of African or African Caribbean Heritage in the UK”.

FiFi’s was her new business venture, a pop-up Pan-African contemporary brunch club in London. The menu featured West African food, like tropical plantation pancakes served with fresh mango and drizzled with passion fruit zabaione and grilled mint lamb served with spicy smoked prawn spinach and a roasted garlic yam mash.
