A former small town girl from Oregon, Tara is a perky Los Angeles home cook, food writer, food photographer and creator of the food and dining blog The Food Pervert. She describes herself as the “Carrie Bradshaw of the blogging world” blogging about her yummy and unique food finds from Mexico to Italy. She also reviews restaurants, bars, food festivals, vendors, food trucks and interviews chefs from all culinary backgrounds. She’s written for various food related digital publications such as Love Happy Hour and Wonder How To.

Beating out thousands of chefs, home cooks, foodies and masters of the kitchen, Tara was chosen has a finalist in Today Show’s Ultimate Cook-Off Series for Best Breakfast. On live TV and alongside Today stars Al Roker and Dylan Dryer, Tara made her 0ver the top, to die for Cocoa Tangerine Pancakes for the original boy band…New Kids On The Block. The guys went crazy for her fluffy, melt in your mouth, chocolatey pancakes with a touch of tangerine zest. To top it off she stuffed it with her secret ingredient of creamy and rich mascarpone cheese. A unique combo of ingredients for sure which is Tara’s trademark. Viewers gave it 4 1/2 stars! Tara has also appeared on TNTs reality cooking show On The Menu hosted by Ty Pennington and Chef Emeril Lagasse, has been on-camera talent for two fashion and food series for ehow.com called Fashion, Color & Style and Vegan Desserts.  She’s also the co-host and co-producer of the YouTube series Book To Plate.

Tara is a graduate of The Gourmandise School of Sweets and Savories in Santa Monica. She’s an active member of the Women Chefs & Restaurateurs Organization and the International Association of Culinary Professionals, where she serves as the Editor of the Visions Newsletter for Food Stylists.

Tara’s just not talented in the kitchen. The stage is her second passion. She can be found doing standup once a month at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, California. Her hilarious act ranges from the horrors of dating to the crazy adventures of  an LA woman.
